These terms apply when you use Readia, an iPhone app made by Lumio Studio. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.
Readia turns things you want to read into audio. You can photograph a book cover, import a PDF, or paste a web link, and the app produces narration you can listen to, with the words highlighted as they're spoken.

There is no free trial. Prices vary by country and storefront — the exact price in your local currency is always shown in the app before you buy, and that price is the one that applies.
Readia is an auto-renewing subscription. When you subscribe inside the app:
On your iPhone: open Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → select Readia → Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel through Apple.
After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple too — we cannot issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong with the app, email us at contact@lumiostudio.co and we'll help where we can.
If we change the price of a subscription, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to agree before the new price is charged. You can always cancel instead.
Apple's in-app purchases are not available in every country. For customers in Russia we offer a web checkout run by lava.top, which is the seller and payment processor for that route — the payment, the receipt, and any refund are theirs to handle, not Apple's and not ours.

Readia is for your own personal, non-commercial listening.
Some of what Readia produces — book identification from a cover photo, and summaries — is generated by AI, and AI gets things wrong. Identifications can be incorrect and summaries can be incomplete or inaccurate. Don't rely on Readia's output for anything where accuracy matters; check the source.
You keep all rights to the content you submit. You give us permission to process it only for the purpose of generating your audio, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We work to keep Readia running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Features may change, and third-party services the app depends on may have outages. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service, and we'll give reasonable notice where we can.
How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Readia is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumio Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country.
You can stop using Readia at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
